SRH vs MI: Hyderabad broke the highest score record
An Indian Premier League (IPL) saw the highest ever high scoring match on Wednesday night between the Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.Sunrisers Hyderabad shattered previous records and leave fans in awe during the match.
The Hyderabad crowd witnessed a spectacle of an explosive start by SRH opener Travis Head, who blazed his way to a record-setting 18-ball fifty, Sharma continued the onslaught, reaching his fifty in just 16 balls—a new benchmark for the fastest fifty by an SRH batter in the IPL tournament.
Sharma's onslaught was relentless as he hammered seven towering sixes and three fours during his whirlwind knock of 63 runs off just 23 balls.
Led by the explosive performances of Heinrich Klaasen (80 not out off 34), Abhishek Sharma (63 off 23), and Travis Head (62 off 24), SRH smashed a staggering total of 277/3 in 20 overs.
Breaks the previous RCB's record
This incredible performance breaks the 11-year-old record for the highest-ever team total in an IPL innings, previously held by Royal Challengers Bengaluru - 263/5 in 20 overs against Pune Warriors India in 2013.
Aiden Markram also made a significant contribution to the SRH onslaught with a well-compiled 42 off 28 balls.
However, Mumbai had also tried to chase this highest total and managed to reach a satisfactory score 245/5 with the help of Ishan 34,Rohit 26,Tilak Verma 64,Tim devid 42,but couldn't win the match. So Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match by 31 runs.
