IPL 2024, SRH vs RCB: Sunrisers Hyderabad breaks own record of highest team score in IPL history
Sunrisers Hyderabad shattered its own record of the highest-ever team's total score in IPL history, scoring 287 /3 while batting first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday.
SRH team had scored 277/3 in its second match of the ongoing edition against Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The IPL 2024 match between SRH and RCB also broke the record for the highest aggregate in a T20 MATCH as RCB’s response of 262/ 7 took the overall runs tally to 549 runs. The previous best was 523 runs from the match between SRH and MI this season. Travis Head’s destructive hundred was the driving force behind Sunrisers Hyderabad’s record-breaking 287 against a rudderless Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Another Setback for RCB
Despite a strong half-century from Dinesh Karthik and a blazing partnership between captain Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fell short in their chase of Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) 288 runs target. RCB managed to score 262/7 in their twenty overs in the match held in Bengaluru on Monday. After this defeat, RCB finds themselves at the bottom of the table(10 th position) with just one victory in seven matches, accumulating only two points so far. Meanwhile, SRH has secured four wins and suffered two losses, amassing eight points, placing them fourth in the points table.
